In the spring of 2019, taking advantage of an opportunity to learn about unique countries and meet fascinating people, while also playing a competitive game against local opposition, six U.S. college football programs will cross the Atlantic with Global Football.  The educational tours, which are also available to family, friends and alumni, run from May 13 through June 18.

On May 19, Ohio Northern University will play the Allgäu Comets in Kempten, Germany at the Adolf Holzli-Adi Stadium.  The Comets are coached by Jeff Scurran, who has traveled overseas previously with Global Football, taking charge of Team Stars & Stripes four times in Global Ambassadors Bowls.

That same weekend, the University of the South will be in Rome where the Sewanee Tigers take on the Lazio Ducks of the Italian Football League. There is also Italian opposition in store a week later on May 26 when Muhlenberg Collegefaces Guelfi Firenzein Florence, where the hosts are led by former Baylor coach Art Briles.

On June 1, Luther College will meet a Spanish All Star team organized by former Barcelona Dragons national coach Marcos Guirles in the Catalan capital.  June 8 sees Elmhurst Collegetake on one of Austria’s top clubs the Graz Giants, then on June 16 North Central Collegeplays the reigning Czech League champions, the Prague Black Panthers, who have won six straight titles.
