Here’s a look at a typical visit to Mexico for the Tazon de Estrellas:
Staff and players will stay in a nice hotel, in double rooms. Casino, disco, pool, hot tub, laundry, outdoor patio and wireless internet are available. Large meeting rooms with video and marker boards are in the hotel. The hotel is located in a safe area with many nearby attractions within walking distance.
Security will be provided for all activities. The University and US Consulate are very aware of Team Stars and Stripes security needs. Security personnel will be present 24/7. All team activities will be in a group format.
3 meals a day will be provided in a variety of venues. Most will be served buffet style.
Practices and the game will all be on a brand new artificial turf field. The stadium is newly remodeled.
All activities are an easy bus ride away: tours, practice/game field and hotel.
ATMs, coffee shops and shopping areas are close. There is a 7/11, Oxxo and Super Mercado located less than a 2-minute walk. Adjacent to the hotel are small outdoor cantinas and restaurants. The road is wide, with sidewalks, well lighted and generally safe.
