Dublin, Ireland – May 29, 2026 – Global Football is pleased to announce the 7th edition of the Global Ireland Football Tournament (G.I.F.T.), scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2026, at Energia Park in Dublin 2, Ireland. The prestigious venue, traditionally known as Donnybrook Stadium and serving as Leinster Rugby’s secondary home, will host American high school football teams Ambassador Christian from North Carolina and Grapevine Faith from Texas.
Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM Irish time. The field will feature American Football high school markings overlaid alongside the permanent rugby lines, ensuring optimal playing conditions for the visiting teams.
Venue and Facilities
Energia Park offers 2,500 covered flip-down seats and approximately 4,000 bleacher seats. Dressing room facilities from Old Wesley Rugby (Ambassador Christian) and Bective Rugby (Grapevine Faith) will be available to the competing teams from 1:00 PM. A dedicated covered gantry will provide areas for team spotting coaches, coach video operations, and media seating.
Both rugby clubhouses will be open throughout the day, offering food and beverage service for spectators, participants, and members of the media.
Flag Football Showcase Commencing at 10:00 AM, the adjacent Energia turf field will host a full day of Flag Football games featuring Irish youth, ladies, and U18 student teams, providing local athletes an opportunity to participate in the growing sport.
Broadcast and Tickets
The game will be available via worldwide live stream, with broadcast coverage beginning at 2:00 PM Dublin time.
Tickets will go on sale July 1, 2026. All proceeds from ticket sales will support the historic St. James Gate Soccer Club in Dublin.
