Preseason Results II

St Edward Wk 2Here’s a look at how the teams in the preseason Catholic Athletes For Christ Top 25 ranking, presented by Siena Heights University and Global Football, fared this past week.  And don’t forget; the first #CACTop25 ranking based on the new 2017 season’s results is released this week, on Wednesday, September 6 at 11am ET.

There were a couple of upsets as No. 24. St. Frances Academy, Baltimore, Md. won 28-9 against No. 19 Bishop Sullivan Catholic (Virginia Beach, Va.) and 25. Paramus Catholic, Paramus, N.J. won 34-14 at No. 13 Archbishop Wood (Warminster, Pa.).

In the battle between #1 vs. #2, it was the second-ranked Mater Dei from California that topped first-place Bishop Gorman 35-21, ending the Nevada school’s 55-game winning streak.
