Here are the next steps towards participating in the 2027 Global Ireland Football Tournament:
- Accept your invitation to participate in the 2027 Global Ireland Football Tournament, with an email to Global Football.
- Review and sign G.I.F.T. agreement between OnLocation, Global Football, and your school/institution.
- Establish plan for guest registration.
- Is each individual player going be responsible for registering through the GIFT website (parents typically doing this) OR is the school going to handle payments directly with GIFT team and provide roster manifest for team(s) and team support staff/administrators.
- Determine what other school teams or student groups are going to participate. Of course, football is the center piece, but G.I.F.T. has welcomed band, cheer, choir and other athletic teams such as field hockey, rugby, volleyball, flag football, swimming to previous events.
- Establish ideal itinerary/participation of Family and Friends.
- What type of package suits community the best?
- Accommodations, breakfasts, games tickets, airport and games transport only?
- Any tours included or all optional?
- Parents tailgate?
- What type of accommodation suits the families at your school best?
- 3 star, 4 star or 5 star hotels?
- (August 2026) G.I.F.T. 2026 event with 2027 event promotions beginning, 2027 media efforts initiated in Ireland.
- (Fall*) School deposit of $10,000 which will later be used as payments for team members.
- (Fall*) Firm airfare pricing to be provided and available for purchase.
- Opponent confirmed, if not sooner.
- March 16 – Passport information due.
- March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day School Celebrations, Fundraising events at schools and local communities.
- April 15 – Confirmed number of air passengers provided by school/institution – some schools purchase additional spots in case of new admissions, transfers, or other additions which may be used for Land and/or Air.
- May 15 – Final Payments due.
- July-August –Traveler specific information and details shared for the team, student groups, as well as for Family & Friends packages.
- August 24-29 – Traditional travel package dates and G.I.F.T. experience (may be extended on the front or back end of the trip if desired).
