Football players, coaches and families who travel overseas with Global Football all share the same sentiments when recalling their overseas adventures: they experienced the trip of a lifetime and their journey created memories that will last forever.

Now, as Global Football celebrates 25 years of combining educational tours with sporting pursuit, founder and president Patrick Steenberge is offering past travelers an opportunity to enjoy themselves all over again – and undertake a second trip of a lifetime.

The 17,000 individuals from 370 schools and teams that have explored 28 nations on six continents during the past quarter of a century are now invited to travel to Italy’s spectacular Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Rome for a deluxe tour. Bookings can be made and a full itinerary found at the Anthony Travel website: https://book.anthonytravel.com/r/global-football/global-football-25th-anniversary-tour-pkg-9744

“I have had the pleasure of traveling and sharing so many fabulous places over the past 25 years with incredible people: student athletes, coaches, parents and families,” said Patrick. “Many of these became instant friends, some have stayed in touch, but every one of them has touched me in some way. Now I feel it is time to celebrate, to gather anyone who has traveled with Global Football since 1996 for a unique 9-day tour of Italy, featuring the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Rome.

Re-connect with teammates, bring along your family if you like, recount stories from your previous Global Tour, while enjoying an easy-paced trip, this time without any football! I am anxious to join with you and to learn about where life has taken you since last we met in a foreign land.”

Travelers will leave the United States on October 17, bound for Rome, and having checked into a lifestyle hotel, will have an opportunity to explore the historic city before attending a welcome dinner. Three fantastic days in the Italian capital will include visiting a gladiator school and guided tours of the Coliseum, Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel or Castel Sant’Angelo and St. Peter’s Basilica.

Transferring to Sorrento, travelers will check in to the Grand Hotel Riviera Sorrento then the following day will enjoy a panoramic tour along Amalfi Coast and will visit Positano and Amalfi. A guided visit to the ancient ruins of Pompeii or Herculaneum will be followed by a pizza lunch on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius and a Lacrima Christy winery tour with tastings.

One of the trip’s highlights will be a private boat excursion to the island of Capri and a farewell to Sorrento dinner at the famous Ristorante Bagni Sant’Anna. Returning to Rome to complete a second trip of a lifetime, the Global Football party will visit the Pantheon, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, then celebrate with a 25-Year Anniversary dinner.
