GLOBAL FOOTBALL to travel High School Senior All-Stars to Spain
From 2008-2019, each spring a Team Stars & Stripes squad of high school seniors chose to experience a fascinating foreign country over a 9-day period, with the tour highlight being a ‘friendly match’ vs a local select team. Following the covid hiatus things are rolling again, allowing any high school senior not likely to have a college football scholarship coming his way is to join and play 1 more game-in SPAIN!
The tour will run March 30 – April 7th, starting in Barcelona, Spain on the Mediterranean Sea and then head to Madrid where the Bowl game will be played. Those 2 cities are among the finest treasures in Europe and have hosted dozens of Global Football tours over the past 27 years. A stellar staff of coaches, each with decades of experience leading teams in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Illinois, Texas and Maryland will form the legendary coaching staff. Not only will they share their extensive football knowledge, but also their depth of knowledge about the places they themselves have journeyed.
Global Football founder and president Patrick Steenberge will head up the travel party. His ability to speak Spanish, friendship with local sports leaders and insight into the fascinating Spanish culture will allow each traveler, players as well as family members and friends, to comfortably enjoy themselves. Each will return home with new friends, a greater understanding of the Iberian Peninsula and with the pride of representing our country on the world stage.
